Full job description

Make a difference in members' healthcare journeys while working from home. We're looking for a customer-focused Pharmacy Quality Specialist who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys helping patients stay compliant with important medication therapies while supporting quality healthcare initiatives.

Location: Remote (North Carolina Resident Required)

Pay Rate: $28-$29/hour

Employment Type: Contingent

Schedule: Monday-Friday, Day Shift

Why This Role Matters

As a Pharmacy Quality Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting Medication Therapy Management (MTM) programs and Medicare quality initiatives. You'll serve as an important connection between members, providers, pharmacies, and clinical pharmacists to help improve medication adherence and health outcomes.

What You'll Do

  • Verify member demographic, provider, and pharmacy information and accurately document data within the MTM platform

  • Obtain, verify, and maintain current medication lists for program participants

  • Contact members to explain MTM program benefits, complete HIPAA verification, and schedule Comprehensive Medication Reviews (CMRs) and Targeted Interventions with pharmacists

  • Receive and respond to calls from provider offices, members, and pharmacies while determining appropriate next steps and escalating when necessary

  • Coordinate provider outreach through outbound faxing and follow-up communication

  • Assess member needs and triage cases to clinical pharmacists or other departments as appropriate

  • Support Medicare Star Ratings and other pharmacy quality initiatives

  • Maintain accurate documentation and provide exceptional customer service in a high-volume call environment

What We're Looking For

  • A current, up-to-date resume

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Active North Carolina Pharmacy Technician License required

  • PTCB Certification (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board) required

  • 3-5 years of pharmacy-related experience

  • Strong telephone-based customer service experience

  • Ability to manage a high-volume workload, including approximately 120 outbound calls daily

  • Retail pharmacy experience strongly preferred

  • Experience assisting patients with medication refill coordination preferred

  • Medicare experience preferred

  • Strong computer skills and attention to detail

  • Experience working with medication therapy management (MTM) programs preferred

  • Ability to communicate effectively with members, providers, pharmacies, and internal teams

  • Ability to meet compliance requirements

  • Must be eligible and provide proof of eligibility to work in the US
