Full job description

  • Function as the center budget manager with full financial operations responsibilities, including managing institutional petty cash, handling requests for printing, and vendor services.

  • Order, stock, fill institutional requests and account for all expendable supplies.

  • Process, route, and follow up on all purchase requests (SCDC form 13-1 order and account for all communication instruments and equipment, including inmate tablets.

  • Responsible for job functions related to the labor crew and work release business associate: maintain and process all inmates' new hires, including job setup, weekly deductions, payroll, and job terminations.

  • Process and track all authorized deductions from inmate accounts as required by law and SCDC policy, including child support, victim restitution, and medical expenses.

  • Performs all other assigned duties.

Must successfully complete four (4) weeks of SCDC basic training upon hire. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the related work experience. SCDC Minimum Requirements:

Prefer 2 years of accounting or accounting related experience.
