Job Description

Lead a portfolio of healthcare accounts and the team supporting them so clients receive strategically sound, high-quality marketing without you becoming the person doing every task. You will keep clients moving, translate strategy into execution, coach the team, and maintain healthy scope, priorities, and delivery. What You'll Own

  1. The client relationship. Serve as the senior day-to-day owner of your accounts and a trusted partner to client leaders.
  • Lead client communication, recurring meetings, decisions, follow-ups, renewals, escalations, and at-risk relationships.
  • Ensure clients know what is happening, what comes next, and where their input or decision is needed.
  1. Strategy translated into execution. Turn strategic direction into a clear, prioritized account plan the team can execute.
  • Pressure-test whether the work is aligned to the strategy, appropriate for the audience, and likely to move the business forward.
  • Adjust priorities when client needs, performance, or available capacity change.
  1. Quality of the work. Make the final call on whether client work meets Clearstart's standards.
  • Review and approve client deliverables, giving clear feedback that improves both the work and the team's judgment.
  • As the team consistently demonstrates the standard, shift from reviewing everything to using thoughtful spot checks.
  1. Team leadership and delivery. Set priorities, clarify ownership, remove blockers, and hold the team accountable for strong execution.
  • Manage timelines and delivery expectations across multiple accounts without losing context, quality, or momentum.
  • Coach team members across disciplines while keeping accountability with the person who owns the work.
  1. Scope, hours, and account health. Keep work aligned to agreed priorities and available resources.
  • Monitor account hours and team capacity, identify risks early, and rebalance work when needed.
  • Recognize out-of-scope requests, recommend the right path, and communicate scope or cost implications before work begins.
  • Own the overall health of the account, including client confidence, performance, priorities, and delivery.
  1. Reporting, insight, and marketing best practices. Help clients understand what the work is accomplishing and what should happen next.
  • Turn reporting into a clear story with context, implications, and recommendations - not a recap of numbers.
  • Stay current on healthcare and B2B/B2C marketing trends and bring relevant ideas and best practices into client work.

Skills and Requirements

  • 7-10+ years of marketing experience, with broad knowledge across major B2B & B2B2C marketing channels and buyer journeys.
  • Meaningful B2B & B2B2C healthcare and digital health experience; agency experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience leading multiple client or stakeholder relationships, including conversations with founders, CMOs, CROs, or other executives.
  • Strong judgment across marketing strategy, briefs, campaigns, content, reporting, and client-ready deliverables.
  • Experience leading and coaching multidisciplinary teams while operating independently with limited oversight.
  • The ability to manage scope, hours, capacity, and account health responsibly.
