Outstanding long-term contract opportunity! A well-known Financial Services Company is looking for a Finance Analyst in New York, NY Charlotte NC (Hybrid).

Contract Duration: 15 Months

Required Skills & Experience

  • The business is looking for a candidate to hit the ground running (a self-starter).

  • Agile delivery experience is required.

  • The business is looking for an individual also with Program or Project Management experience.

  • Overtime occasional (estimated 0-4 hours per month).

  • 5+ years of Finance experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education.

  • Experience in product ownership, business analysis, data analysis, or program delivery in Treasury, payments, liquidity, or a related financial-services area.

  • Strong data skills, including the ability to query, manipulate, and validate data independently.

  • Experience working with application developers, data engineers, and business stakeholders to move from requirements through testing and delivery.

  • Sound judgment, ownership, and the ability to lead through ambiguity without relying on formal authority.

  • Clear communication skills, including the ability to prepare succinct materials for senior leaders.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Payments technology or fintech application development.

  • familiarity with wires, ACH, real-time payments, or on-chain payment concepts such as distributed ledger technology and tokenization;

  • experience with ILMS or similar Treasury platforms.

  • Experience in a large banking organization such as Wells Fargo or similar is preferred.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Finance.

  • Review and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale or longer-term Finance challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors.

  • Contribute to the resolution of complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that meet deliverables.

  • Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel.

  • Own product priorities: Shape the roadmap and backlog, define requirements and acceptance criteria, and make trade-offs clear to stakeholders.

  • Drive coordinated delivery: Lead working sessions with business and technology teams; track milestones, dependencies, risks, and decisions; and connect those routines to leadership reporting.

  • Work hands-on with data: Query and manipulate data to investigate business questions, discover requirements, test solutions, and validate results.

  • Strengthen intraday liquidity capabilities: Help deliver improvements to monitoring, analytics, controls, and reporting, including capabilities related to balances and payment activity.

  • Communicate the story: Turn detailed findings and delivery issues into concise updates that explain what changed, why it matters, and what action is needed.
