Job Summary
We are currently seeking a Summer 2027 Civil Engineering intern at Millstone Power Station in Waterford, CT.; This intern will be located in the Rapid Response department. The intern will be working on design expertise, ownership, and maintenance of Civil Engineering areas of expertise and calculations that support design basis of the station. Under direction of supervisor or senior engineers, interns will: Prepare and Provide implementation support for design changes/modifications that support the long-term reliability and operation of the station. This includes support of projects produced within the Station Design and Station Projects organizations, and with external vendors/architect-engineers contracted by Station Projects. Prepare or revise calculations in support of engineering products. Conduct inspections of station structures and equipment.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

Experience with Microsoft Office products is desired.

Must be able to follow instructions and be a team player.

Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.

Solid engineering skills, commensurate with grade level.

Good communication skills, technical writing skills, and computer skills.

An inquisitive nature, an ability to follow written and verbal directions, and strong professional ethics.
Education Requirements

Must be a student studying Civil Engineering at an ABET accredited program at a 4-year college or university

Must have a GPA of at least 3.00

Must have a graduation date of Fall 2027 or Spring 2028

Hourly Rate:
$29.00 - $29.00
The hourly rate listed is the rate we anticipate paying for this position. If a range is listed, the actual hourly rate offered may vary based on factors such as the selected candidate's degree type, academic major, and/or school classification (e.g., sophomore, junior, senior).
