Description

Career Technical Training (CTT) Manager

Atterbury Job Corps Center · Edinburgh, IN · Full-time · Exempt

Lead the department that turns training into careers

Career Technical Training is where Job Corps makes good on its promise — students walk in needing a skill and walk out with a credential, a job, or a path to one. As CTT Manager, you'll run that entire department, including Work-Based Learning and the CTR/Grad-90 transition program. You'll make sure every instructor is delivering real, industry-relevant training, every student has a case plan that's actually working, and every graduate has somewhere to go next.

What you'll do

  • Run the department. Oversee Career Technical Training, Work-Based Learning, and the CTR/Grad-90 Program end to end staffing, scheduling, quality, outcomes.

  • Lead your team. Hire, train, coach, evaluate, and when necessary discipline CTT staff. Fill vacancies quickly, delegate well, and hold people accountable for the quality of their work.

  • Develop your people. Provide ongoing training for new and current staff, build career progression paths, and create a work environment where good performance gets noticed.

  • Drive student outcomes. Ensure every student gets individualized case management that leads to a real credential and a real job, not just a completed class.

  • Keep training relevant. Work with the Center's Workforce Council to align programs with what local employers actually need, and make sure employers are in the building meeting with students, not just on paper.

  • Own the transition. Manage the CTR/Grad-90 Program so students are scheduled appropriately and their transition classes are doing real work, job search, placement prep, next steps.

  • Build the network. Develop community partnerships for education, employment, and WBL opportunities. Represent the Center well, including with elected officials.

  • Protect the data. Ensure strict confidentiality and integrity of student information — no exceptions.

  • Model the standard. Live the Career Success Standards and hold students to a standard of respect and accountability.

Plus other duties as assigned, including occasional coverage in other departments at the direction of the Center Director or Shift Manager.
