Work you'll do

As a PROJECT - Data Engineer II on the AI & Data team, you will be responsible for...

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining batch and streaming data pipelines that support reporting, analytics, and artificial intelligence use cases

  • Building and optimizing extract, transform, and load processes using SQL, Python, and data engineering frameworks

  • Integrating data from structured and unstructured sources across cloud and on-premises environments

  • Supporting data quality, validation, monitoring, and issue resolution activities for production data assets

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement data models, improve platform performance, and support client delivery objectives

Team members focus on delivering services to clients, without additional expectations related to business development or promotion. Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a similar quantitative field

  • 0-2 years of experience working in Agile delivery environments

  • 1+ years of experience in extract, transform, and load architecture and development

  • 1+ years of experience using Python and Structured Query Language to build or support data pipelines

  • 1+ years of experience working with relational database management systems

  • Ability to travel 0-10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting federal, state, or local government clients

  • Experience with Apache Spark, Databricks, Snowflake, or Apache Airflow

  • Experience with application programming interfaces and request handling

  • Experience with Docker

  • Experience supporting machine learning workflows

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure SQL Server or Power Platform

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $71,300 to $140,600.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
