The HR Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day human resources operations while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, labor laws and company policies. This role partners closely with EVP, Strategy & Operations and leadership to support workforce stability, employee engagement, and operational excellence across the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all core HR functions including employee relations, performance management, disciplinary actions, and investigations

  • Primary responsibility for the Texas region, with the flexibility to support other states and regions as business needs evolve

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, healthcare regulations, and accreditation requirements

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders on HR policies, employee issues, and workforce planning

  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and retention initiatives to support staffing needs

  • Administer leaves of absence (FMLA, ADA, state leave programs) and coordinate with benefits vendors as needed

  • Support compensation, benefits, and payroll processes in partnership with internal teams or external providers

  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation in accordance with regulatory standards

  • Lead or support HR projects related to policy development, training, engagement, and organizational improvements

  • Coach and support managers on performance management, accountability, and leadership best practices

  • Promote a culture of professionalism, compliance, and respect aligned with the organization’s mission and values

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resource management or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in human resources role

  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and compliance requirements

  • Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with professionalism

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Willingness to travel, if needed
