Licensed Vocational Nurse / LVN - Family Care 18135

Work location: 2100 Hedgecoxe Drive Plano TX 75025

Work hours: Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday - Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

Here's What You Need

Education

  • Accredited school of practical nursing program (Required)

Experience

  • One year of experience (Preferred)

  • Clinic/Physician 'Primary Care' Office experience (Highly Preferred)

  • Understanding of Quality Measure Management process preferred.

Licenses and Certifications

  • LVN - Licensed Vocational Nurse (Required) And

  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Required) Or

  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required)

What You Will Do

  • Perform basic nursing care for patients by following established standards and procedures. May perform specific nursing care as it relates to specialty of the practice.

  • Collect patient data such as vital signs, note how the patient looks and acts or responds to stimuli and report this information accordingly.

  • Prepare and administer injections, perform routine tests, treat wounds and change bandages.

  • Prepare patient records and files using established medical record forms/automated systems and documentation practices.

  • Administer certain prescribed medications and monitor and document treatment progress and patient response.

  • Participate in the implementation and evaluation of patient care based on practice guidelines, standards of care, and federal/state laws and regulations.

  • Monitor and document treatment progress and patient response.

  • Convey information to patients and families about health status, health maintenance, and management of acute and chronic conditions.

  • Participate in teams to improve patient care processes and outcomes
