2027 Internship - Materials & Processing Engineer
Description
Why This Internship
As an intern with Textron, you’ll gain hands-on experience while exploring your interests and building new skills. You’ll be supported and challenged to contribute in meaningful ways – working on real projects alongside experienced professionals to prepare for future success.
JOB SUMMARY:
Interns will perform testing and evaluation of metallic materials. This may include opportunities in mechanical testing, metallurgical analysis, scanning electron microscopy, and other laboratory analysis techniques.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Machine and test samples using a universal test machine
-
Prepare and examine samples for metallographic analysis
-
Examine samples using a scanning electron microscope
-
Support engineers performing materials evaluation and failure analysis
-
Analyze, archive, and present results in written reports
Qualifications
EDUCATION:
Pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD Degree in:

Metallurgical Engineering
-
Materials Science / Engineering
-
Aerospace Engineering
-
Mechanical Engineering
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Professional and diplomatic demeanor

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
