Oracle EBS Security Specialist

Location- Washington, DC (Hybrid)

This program requires US Citizenship

The OCI & Oracle EBS Security Specialist implements, administers, monitors, and supports security controls across Oracle E?Business Suite R12/R12.2 and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) . This role manages user access, IAM, authentication, authorization, database security, cloud security, integration security, and compliance frameworks for large enterprise or government environments.

Oracle EBS Security

  • EBS RBAC — Administer R12/R12.2 user accounts, responsibilities, menus, functions, request groups, security profiles, and data access.

  • SoD Controls — Implement least?privilege access, perform user/responsibility reviews, and support segregation?of?duties requirements.

  • EBS Authentication — Troubleshoot authentication/authorization issues and review custom responsibilities/security.

  • Lifecycle Security — Support security during patching, cloning, upgrades, and migrations.

OCI Identity & Access Management

  • OCI IAM — Administer users, groups, policies, compartments, dynamic groups, and federation.

  • Least Privilege — Review/remediate excessive privileges; manage service identities and service accounts.

  • OCI SSO — Support SSO and federation with enterprise identity providers.

Enterprise Identity & Access Management

  • Directory Integration — Integrate OCI/EBS with AD, LDAP, Microsoft Entra ID.

  • SSO — Support SAML/OIDC SSO and implement MFA.

  • Provisioning — Manage provisioning/de?provisioning, periodic access certification, and privileged?access processes.

  • Auth Troubleshooting — Resolve authentication/authorization issues across cloud and EBS tiers.OCI Cloud Security

  • Cloud Guard — Support OCI security configuration and hardening using Cloud Guard, Security Zones, Vulnerability Scanning.

  • OCI Vault — Manage secrets, credentials, certificates, and encryption keys.

  • Monitoring — Monitor findings, coordinate remediation, and review OCI security posture.

OCI Network Security

  • VCN Security — Support secure configuration of VCNs, subnets, route tables, security lists, NSGs, load balancers, WAF, VPN, FastConnect.

  • Connectivity — Ensure secure EBS?to?OCI connectivity and troubleshoot firewall/security?rule issues.

Oracle Database Security

  • DB Roles — Manage database users, roles, privileges, and access reviews.

  • Auditing — Support auditing, encryption, secure connections, and remediation.

  • EBS Accounts — Review EBS application and integration accounts.

EBS / OCI Integration Security

  • API Security — Secure OIC, REST/SOAP APIs, API Gateway, Object Storage, and OCI databases.

  • Credential Hygiene — Secure service accounts, enforce TLS/SSL, and prevent hard?coded credentials.

  • Integration Readiness — Validate end?to?end integration security for enterprise workloads.

Security Monitoring & Compliance

  • Log Monitoring — Monitor security logs, access activities, and investigate incidents.

  • Vulnerability Remediation — Support remediation and participate in audits.

  • Compliance — Maintain documentation for NIST, FISMA, FedRAMP, SOX, SOC 2; maintain access matrices and evidence.

Experience Requirements

  • 7–10+ years Oracle EBS experience.

  • 3–5+ years OCI security/IAM experience.

  • Hands?on EBS security administration.

  • OCI IAM + cloud security controls experience.

  • Enterprise IAM/SSO integration experience.

  • Oracle Database security experience.

  • Large enterprise or government experience preferred.

  • Strong troubleshooting + documentation skills.

Position Details:

  • Pay Rate / Range:$80-$90/hr

The above salary range represents the range expected for the position; however, final salary offers are based on a number of factors such as the position’s responsibilities; the candidate’s experience, education, and skills; location; travel required; and current market conditions.
