Job Title: Sr. Electronics Engineer - Must be a Citizen to be eligible for this opportunity.
Job Description
As a Sr. Electronics Engineer, you will design and analyze complex data-processing, communication, and electrical systems utilized in our radiation detection products. Collaborating with a cross-functional team, you will engage in research, develop testing methods, design custom printed circuit boards, and offer production and field support as needed. Additionally, you will provide technical guidance to junior electrical engineers and interns while helping to establish and share engineering best practices across the team.
Essential Skills

8+ years of PCB/Electrical Design Experience - Electrical Schematic Capture. (YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IS IMPORTANT)

Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics

Experience in analog circuit design

Practical experience and proficiency with Altium Designer for schematic capture and PCB layout.
Responsibilities
-
Work within a cross-functional engineering team to support the development and sustainment of radiation detection products.
-
Develop electrical wiring diagrams, schematics, interconnects, and assembly drawings. Release designs into the companys PLM systems via engineering change orders and established workflows.

Design and develop embedded digital and analog circuits for radiation detection products, which may include components such as field programmable gate arrays, embedded microcontrollers, high voltage circuitry for photomultiplier tubes, low noise front ends, and analog-to-digital converters.

Design data-processing and communication circuitry to facilitate communication between various subsystems and external equipment.

Develop, review, update, modify, and approve electrical design plans, circuits, and system designs.

Develop proof of concept prototype circuits to support design verification.

Research emerging technologies, components, and design methods relevant to radiation detection products.

Troubleshoot electrical systems and printed circuit boards to the component level to identify root causes.

Collaborate with field service, manufacturing, and external customers to diagnose electrical issues, identify root causes, recommend corrective actions, and support implementation and verification through continuous improvement processes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications

M.S. in Electrical Engineering is a plus.
-
Practical experience in the Radiation Detection field is a plus.

Experience with Altium, KiCad, OrCAD preferred.

Experience in cradle to grave hardware design to manufacturing.

Familiarity with FPGA and PCB layout.

Ability to independently plan and complete work, raise risks and dependencies promptly, and collaborate with others to meet project objectives.

Willingness to travel up to 15% domestically and internationally, with the ability to acquire necessary travel documents.
Work Environment
The work environment involves collaboration within a cross-functional team, requiring flexibility to accommodate different time zones. Occasional travel is necessary, up to 15% domestically and internationally. The role involves engaging in both design and field support, with opportunities to mentor junior engineers and contribute to innovative radiation detection solutions.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $62.50 - $72.11/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
