This position may perform a variety of administrative support assignments such as filing; retrieving, sorting and distributing mail; copying; reviewing forms for accuracy and completeness; answering telephones and routing calls; EBT card issuance; registration support; reception; case transfers; data entry; typing; reports retention and distribution; and other misc. duties as assigned.

Experience General Office Assistant 5 No specific type or amount of experience is required.

General Office Assistant 6 One year of administrative support experience.

General Office Assistant E7 Two years of administrative support experience, including one year equivalent to the intermediate level.This posting may use the resulting candidate pool from this interview process for filling current and future permanent vacancies and limited term, occurring in the next SIX months. This posting covers All Wayne County Districts.

The physical location of this position is in multiple locations throughout Wayne County, however, this position has the ability to work hybrid (combination of remote and office). Selected candidates who have been approved to work hybrid must complete that work within Michigan. Candidates should confirm work location and schedule at the time of interview.

Employees will be provided computers to perform state work. Phones may also be provided for necessary communications. If working remotely, employees will be responsible for providing other components of a remote office at their own expense, including:

  • A secure work location that allows privacy and prevents distractions.
  • A high-speed internet connection of at least 25 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload.
  • Suitable lighting, furniture, and utilities.
  • Work must be performed in Michigan
