Experience Level: Senior (Level 3) - Minimum 10 years experience

Clearance Required: TS/SCI with CI Polygraph capability

Location: National Capital Region (NCR) or San Antonio, TX

The Senior System/Network Engineer leads infrastructure design, deployment, and optimization efforts for the unified solution. This position provides technical leadership for complex infrastructure challenges, ensuring systems are scalable, resilient, and secure. The engineer works closely with development teams to implement cloud-native architectures and optimize system performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement Kubernetes-based infrastructure

  • Lead network architecture and security implementations

  • Optimize system performance and resource utilization

  • Implement advanced monitoring and observability solutions

  • Design disaster recovery and high availability solutions

  • Lead Infrastructure as Code implementations

  • Troubleshoot complex system and network issues

  • Mentor junior engineers

  • Support security assessments and RMF activities

  • Lead infrastructure-related technical discussions

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of system/network engineering experience

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant technical field (or equivalent substitution)

  • Expert knowledge of Kubernetes and container technologies

  • Deep understanding of network protocols, routing, and security

  • Experience designing multi-cloud infrastructure solutions

  • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, etc.)

  • Strong knowledge of Linux system administration

  • Experience with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd)

  • Understanding of DoD security requirements and RMF

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph

  • Must be U.S. citizen

Salary & Benefits

The salary associated with this position ($122,000-$253,000) is commensurate with the selected candidate’s qualifications, years of relevant experience, and demonstrated level of expertise. Compensation will be determined based on these factors to ensure alignment with skills, responsibilities, and market standards.
