Job Description

The Director, Data Center On-Site Power Delivery is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of on-site power infrastructure supporting OCI’s data center campuses, including utility interconnections, substations, generation, energy storage, fuel-cell power solutions, and associated electrical distribution and controls.

The role will lead the development and execution of EPC contracting strategies for major power infrastructure and will oversee EPC partners from procurement and contract award through engineering, equipment procurement, construction, commissioning, energization, and final turnover.

The Director will also lead the deployment and integration of fuel-cell systems and other on-site generation technologies where applicable, ensuring these solutions are properly integrated into the campus electrical architecture, utility strategy, operating model, and commissioning plan.

This leader will work closely with Energy, Electrical Engineering, Construction, Commissioning, Operations, Procurement, Finance , Legal, and external utilities, EPC contractors, OEMs, and technology providers to deliver safe, reliable, scalable power infrastructure aligned with OCI’s cloud and AI capacity roadmap.

Responsibilities

EPC Contracting & Commercial Leadership

  • Develop and execute EPC contracting strategies for major electrical and on-site power infrastructure projects.

  • Lead EPC procurement activities, including development of scopes of work, technical requirements, commercial evaluation, bid processes, negotiations, and contractor selection.

  • Establish appropriate risk allocation across Oracle, EPC contractors, equipment manufacturers, utilities, and specialty subcontractors.

  • Manage EPC contracts through engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, energization, and closeout.

  • Oversee EPC contractor performance against schedule, budget, technical requirements, quality, safety, and contractual commitments.

  • Review and negotiate change orders, claims, allowances, contingencies, schedule impacts, and commercial settlements.

  • Establish governance and reporting mechanisms that provide senior leadership with clear visibility into EPC cost, schedule, risk, and performance.

  • Partner with Legal, Procurement, Finance, and Engineering to ensure EPC agreements support OCI’s long-term delivery and operational objectives.

  • Develop repeatable EPC delivery models that can be scaled across multiple data center campuses and regions.

On-Site Generation & Fuel Cells

  • Lead the delivery strategy for on-site power generation, including fuel-cell-based generation and other distributed energy solutions.

  • Provide executive oversight for the deployment of fuel-cell systems supporting OCI data center capacity where applicable.

  • Coordinate with OEM and other technology providers with electrical engineering, EPC, utility, construction, commissioning, and operations teams.

  • Ensure fuel-cell systems are appropriately integrated with utility services, medium- and high-voltage infrastructure, switchgear, protection systems, controls, monitoring, and data center electrical distribution.

  • Oversee technical and commercial interfaces between Oracle, Fuel Cell providers, EPC contractors, utilities, and equipment suppliers.

  • Establish deployment standards, delivery schedules, acceptance requirements, and operational readiness criteria for fuel-cell installations.

  • Manage site-specific challenges associated with fuel supply, interconnection, permitting, equipment delivery, installation, testing, commissioning, and long-term maintainability.

  • Ensure fuel-cell systems are fully tested, commissioned, documented, and integrated into the overall campus operating model before operational handover.

  • Evaluate opportunities to standardize and scale fuel-cell deployment across OCI’s expanding data center portfolio.

  • Support business-case development and capacity planning for on-site generation solutions supporting accelerated AI and cloud infrastructure growth.

Required Qualifications

Add these requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience developing and managing EPC contracts for large-scale electrical, power generation, utility, or infrastructure projects.

  • Proven experience managing EPC contractors through engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operational turnover.

  • Strong understanding of commercial risk allocation, change management, claims, contracting strategy, and EPC delivery models.

  • Experience with distributed generation, fuel cells, microgrids, energy storage, or other on-site power generation technologies.

  • Experience managing complex interfaces between utilities, EPC contractors, OEMs, technology providers, and data center construction teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct experience with fuel-cell deployments or comparable fuel-cell power generation systems.

  • Experience integrating on-site generation into hyperscale data center electrical architectures.

  • Experience developing multi-campus deployment strategies for distributed energy resources.

  • Experience with utility-scale or behind-the-meter power generation programs.

  • Experience negotiating and administering large, technically complex EPC agreements.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $146,300 to $306,400 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

  10. Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
