Explore HCA's opportunities as a Speech Language Pathologist Seasonal PRN! We are seeking experienced Respiratory Therapists to join our team for the upcoming winter season at an increased seasonal pay rate and completion bonus!

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Speech Therapist (SLP), you'll help patients improve their communication, cognitive, and swallowing abilities through skilled, evidence-based care. Your role is key in helping patients make progress and independence while working closely with a supportive, collaborative rehabilitation team. Seasonal Position Requirements and Incentives:

• Seasonal position for 11/8/26 -- 2/27/27

• Completion bonus to be paid to eligible employees after the successful completion of 16 consecutive weeks of employment while meeting all shift requirements during that period.

• All Seasonal RNs/PCTs/ RRTs are required to work a minimum of 72 hours per pay period (0.9 FTEs) during the seasonal period.

• Two (2) weekend shifts are required for each 4-week period if applicable.

• During the 16-week period, the employee is required to work one holiday shift as defined by Department Manager or designee.

• Seasonal Staff are PRN status employees and are subject to first call-off. There is no guarantee of hours by the hospital. However, if employees are called off by the facility, then they will still be eligible for the completion bonus.

• Seasonal Staff will not be eligible for benefits, except 401 (k) and retirement contribution per the PRN policy.

• Staff members classified in the Seasonal Program are eligible for Critical Staffing Need Differential payments, when approved for their department and after they have completed three scheduled shifts in a week (i.e. 4th shift is paid Critical Staffing Differential).

• Shifts may vary based on needs of the department.

• After the completion period has been met, employees are eligible to apply to open FT/PT/PRN vacancies.

• Current PRN employees with 0.001 or .3 FTE commitment can be considered for this program.

• Based on business needs, the seasonal program can be ended at any time.

• This program cannot be combined with Seasonal Incentive Program.

Your role will include:

• Evaluating communication, cognitive, and swallowing abilities using structured assessments, standardized tools, and clinical observation

• Developing and adjusting individualized treatment plans that support communication clarity, safe swallowing, and functional progress

• Documenting evaluations, daily notes, progress updates, and discharge summaries with accuracy and timeliness

• Educating patients and families on therapy goals, safety recommendations, home strategies, and expected progress

• Collaborating with physicians, nursing teams, rehabilitation staff, and care managers to support coordinated care and smooth transitions

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

• (CCC-SLP) Cert of Clin Competence Speech Language Pathology must be obtained within 2 years of employment start date
