City/State Virginia Beach, VA Work Shift First (Days) Overview: Overview Sentara Health is seeking an experienced Epic MyChart/Cadence Analyst to support, enhance, and optimize our Epic applications. This role is responsible for the day-to-day support, maintenance, configuration, testing, and implementation of Epic MyChart and Cadence solutions. The analyst will work closely with operational, clinical, and technical stakeholders to evaluate business needs, improve workflows, and ensure effective utilization of supported applications. The ideal candidate possesses strong Epic application expertise, analytical problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer support. This individual will participate in system upgrades, enhancements, testing activities, incident management, and project implementations while collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve organizational objectives. The analyst will serve as a key resource for application optimization, workflow design, and user support, contributing to improved patient and operational outcomes. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day support, maintenance, and optimization of Epic MyChart and Cadence applications.
  • Analyze business and clinical workflows to identify opportunities for process improvement and enhanced system utilization.
  • Evaluate application releases, upgrades, and new functionality; provide recommendations and implement approved solutions.
  • Configure, build, test, and document application enhancements, software upgrades, and patches.
  • Develop system test plans and maintain documentation of testing progress and outcomes.
  • Manage incidents, service requests, application issues, and system changes in accordance with established processes.
  • Provide on-call support for application-related issues as assigned.
  • Collaborate with operational, clinical, and technical teams to ensure application integrations meet organizational needs.
  • Communicate application issues, upgrades, enhancements, and project updates to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate implementation activities and support project planning related to application releases and system enhancements.
  • Support smaller projects or workstreams while ensuring successful delivery and adoption of solutions.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, Business, Computer Science, or a related field (Preferred)
  • 5+ years of relevant experience without a degree may be accepted in lieu of a Bachelor's degree

Certification/Licensure

  • Epic MyChart Certification (Required)

Experience

  • Three (3) years of experience supporting, implementing, optimizing, or maintaining Epic applications with a degree, or five (5) years without a degree (Required)
  • Experience supporting Epic MyChart and Epic Cadence application build, configuration, upgrades, and enhancements (Required)
  • Experience gathering business and clinical requirements, conducting workflow analysis, and recommending process improvements (Required)
  • Experience developing and executing system testing plans, documenting test results, and validating software releases and upgrades (Required)
  • Experience with incident management, change management, service requests, and application troubleshooting in a healthcare environment (Required)
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, end users, and operational stakeholders to implement technology solutions (Required)
