Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support maritime and industrial operations at BAE Systems in Norfolk, Virginia. This individual will be responsible for leading daily project execution efforts, managing personnel, tracking progress against project objectives, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience managing complex maritime, shipyard, or industrial projects and have a proven ability to lead teams, develop employees, and maintain accountability across multiple workstreams. The schedule for this role is Monday through Friday, 6 am to 2:30 pm with mandatory overtime for uncompleted work. The salary ranges between $38 - $45/hr based on years of experience.

Skills and Requirements

Lead and manage daily project operations supporting shipyard programs. Supervise and coordinate a team of up to 10 employees, ensuring personnel are properly assigned and utilized. Develop and distribute daily work packages and assignments to project personnel. Monitor project progress, schedule adherence, productivity, and quality standards. Prepare and submit daily progress reports detailing: Work completed Project milestones achieved Outstanding tasks and remaining work Schedule and resource updates Experience working within a Department of Defense, government contractor, or industrial manufacturing environment. Familiarity with BAE Systems ship repair operations and waterfront project execution.
