Full job description

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join a manufacturing organization in Irving, Texas. This position plays a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, supporting planning activities, and strengthening day-to-day accounting operations. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and the ability to contribute meaningful insights that support business decisions in a growing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee recurring financial close activities across monthly, quarterly, and yearly reporting cycles to ensure timely and accurate results.

  • Prepare complete financial statements and assemble reporting materials that help leadership evaluate business performance.

  • Drive budgeting and forecasting efforts by analyzing trends, comparing actuals to plans, and explaining key variances.

  • Maintain adherence to U.S. accounting standards and reinforce internal control practices throughout accounting processes.

  • Coordinate with external audit partners and organize supporting documentation for annual audit reviews and related requests.

  • Identify opportunities to enhance reporting workflows, improve data accuracy, and increase the efficiency of accounting procedures.

  • Deliver financial analysis and practical recommendations that assist executive leaders with planning and operational decisions.

  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives that support organizational growth and increased operational scale. Requirements • Experience preparing journal entries and maintaining accurate general ledger records.

  • Strong background managing month-end close activities in a deadline-driven environment.

  • Ability to perform account reconciliations thoroughly and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

  • Proficiency in preparing financial statements with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis within a corporate accounting setting.

  • Familiarity with U.S. GAAP and internal control principles.

  • Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across leadership, operations, and external audit teams.
