ABOUT THE COMPANY

Already an industry leader in healthcare services, we provide home respiratory services and select medical equipment to help our patients sleep better, breathe better, heal faster, and thrive longer.

JOB SUMMARY

The Sleep Coach helps CPAP patients build confidence and consistency with their sleep therapy. In this remote-based role, you’ll connect with patients throughout their first year of therapy to answer questions, provide guidance, and help them work through the challenges that can make it difficult to use their equipment consistently.

You’ll use patient usage information, coaching techniques, and your knowledge of sleep therapy to understand each patient’s needs and provide practical solutions. You’ll also help patients understand their therapy, insurance requirements, equipment care, mobile resources, and future resupply needs.

This is a remote-based position that is a good fit for someone who enjoys working with people, communicating one-on-one, and helping patients take an active role in their health.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Proactively and reactively contact patients throughout their first full year of CPAP therapy.

  • Make and receive inbound and outbound calls to coach, educate, and encourage patients as they adjust to CPAP therapy.

  • Use manufacturer software to review patient usage information and make each patient conversation more informed and personalized.

  • Use knowledge of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) to help patients understand their therapy and the potential benefits of consistent use.

  • Develop a basic understanding of PAP and mask equipment from various manufacturers to assist with common troubleshooting questions.

  • Encourage patients to take an active role in their therapy, including using manufacturer mobile apps and other available resources.

  • Help patients understand insurance requirements, equipment cleaning, and future resupply needs.

  • Verify patient demographics, physician information, and notification preferences during each patient interaction.

  • Accurately document patient conversations, questions, concerns, and next steps in the patient account.

  • Share ideas and identify opportunities to improve the patient experience and support business growth in a positive and constructive manner.

  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA guidelines.

  • Perform other duties as required.
