Full job description

We’re looking for a Marketing Intern to help us better understand and communicate with our commercial

roofing customers. In this role, you’ll use existing company data and internal knowledge to create customer

personas and map out the customer journey for each type of buyer.

This is a great opportunity for someone early in their marketing career who wants hands-on experience with

research, messaging, and content planning in a B2B, construction-focused industry. You’ll learn how commercial customers make buying decisions and help shape the content and channels we use

to reach them. Additionally, you have the opportunity to work directly with Danny Shaw, CEO who has over a decade of

experience leading Global B2B and fashion retail marketing teams.

Opportunity

  • Research and Content Development

o Learn AI best practices for research and content generation

  • Customer Persona Development

o Review existing information such as CRM data, sales notes, website analytics, and customer feedback.

o Help create clear customer personas for commercial roofing buyers (e.g., building owners, property

managers, facility managers).

o Document each persona’s goals, challenges, priorities, and decision-making process.

o Summarize what matters most to each persona when evaluating roofing services.

  • Customer Journey Mapping

o Map the typical customer journey for each persona , from first awareness of a roofing need through

choosing a contractor.

o Identify key questions, concerns, and decision points at each stage.

o Highlight where marketing content can help educate, reassure, or support the buyer.

  • Content & Delivery Planning

o Help outline a content plan for each persona and journey stage.

o Recommend types of content such as blog posts, email campaigns, case studies, FAQs, checklists, or sales

resources.

o Suggest where and how content should be delivered (website, email, sales follow-ups, social media, etc.).

o Ensure messaging is practical, clear, and relevant to commercial roofing customers.

  • Documentation & Collaboration

o Organize personas, journey maps, and content plans in shared documents or presentations.

o Share findings with the marketing team and incorporate feedback.

o Keep information easy to understand and updated as needed.

Nice to Haves

  • Basic knowledge of marketing concepts (personas, funnels, or content marketing).

  • Interest in B2B marketing, construction, or trades industries.

  • Familiarity with CRM tools or marketing platforms (helpful, but not required).

Work Environment

This position operates some of the time in a typical home and corporate office environment,

spending time at a desk, typing at a computer, talking with people in person and on the phone,

taking notes, and using standard office equipment. The job also requires job site visits.

Travel

Travel to job sites in the region is required.
