Shift’s Available: Nights

Employment Type: Full Time

Hours: 12 hour shifts, 7:00pm – 7:00am

Location: Riverview Regional Medical Center, Gadsden, AL

We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), internally referred to as LPN or LVN, in our Cardiac Unit at Riverview Regional Medical Center (Gadsden, AL), a member of Prime Healthcare. As an LPN/LVN in our Cardiac Unit, you will provide basic nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or physician, focusing on tasks like monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with patient care.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

  • Provide direct and indirect patient care services which requires technical and manual skills, within the scope of practice, that meet the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care

  • Meets the communication needs of the patient and family

  • Performs under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse

  • Nurses provide CPR, Patient Care, Update Documentation, Specimens and Vital Signs

  • Read and monitor EKGs

Qualifications

Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:

  • Current and valid Alabama state license as a Licensed Practical Nurse

  • Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current

  • IV certification within 30 days and maintain current

  • ACLS (AHA) certification within 60 days and maintain current

  • Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) training within six (6) months of hire and maintain current

Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus:

  • One year experience in an applicable setting
