Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an Electrical Systems Engineer that will focus on Reliability and Failure Analysis with customers and vendors. The engineer will serve as the technical lead for investigating failures within military communication systems and driving reliability improvements across multiple hardware programs. On a daily basis, they will analyze failed electronic equipment, troubleshoot communication system issues, perform root cause investigations, and identify failure trends using reliability data. They will work closely with Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Repair Operations, and Program teams to determine corrective actions and improve overall product performance. The engineer will maintain and manage FRACAS investigations, track open actions, generate technical reports, and present findings to internal leadership, customers, government stakeholders, and Failure Review Boards. This role supports a variety of communication hardware products, including SATCOM, RF, and other mission-critical defense systems. Success in this position comes from strong analytical thinking, electrical troubleshooting expertise, data-driven decision making, and the ability to communicate technical findings to both engineers and customers.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field 6+ years of engineering experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience) Strong experience troubleshooting complex electronic or electrical systems Root Cause Analysis (RCA) experience Experience investigating hardware failures and determining corrective actions Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to identify trends through data analysis and engineering investigations Experience working cross-functionally with engineering and manufacturing teams Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to obtain a security clearance Electronics failure analysis experience Reliability growth and corrective action program experience SQL or Business Objects experience MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul) experience Warranty return analysis experience Experience presenting technical findings directly to customers or government stakeholders Active security clearance
