Full job description

Description We are looking for an experienced and dependable Office Manager to support a busy onsite workplace in Charleston, South Carolina. This contract opportunity with potential for a permanent role is suited for someone who enjoys creating an organized, welcoming office environment while keeping daily operations running smoothly. The role combines workplace hospitality, meeting coordination, facilities support, and vendor interaction to deliver a positive experience for employees and visitors. You will work closely with property management, internal stakeholders, and service providers to maintain high standards across the office.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day office operations and serve as a key point of contact for employees, guests, and service partners onsite.

  • Coordinate conference rooms and shared spaces, ensuring they are properly scheduled, prepared, and ready for meetings, training sessions, and events.

  • Arrange room setups, seating configurations, catering, and hospitality support to help meetings and workplace gatherings run efficiently.

  • Track office, pantry, and breakroom inventory levels and place orders to keep essential supplies stocked at all times.

  • Conduct regular walkthroughs of meeting areas, restrooms, breakrooms, and common spaces to confirm cleanliness, organization, and overall workplace standards.

  • Submit and monitor maintenance and facility-related service requests, partnering with property management and vendors to ensure timely resolution.

  • Provide basic support for conference room technology, monitor setups, and audiovisual issues, escalating concerns to IT or outside vendors when needed.

  • Maintain workplace records, inventories, and operational documentation while supporting safety procedures and emergency readiness activities.

  • Build strong working relationships with onsite vendors and help monitor service quality during visits and scheduled work.

  • Assist with additional administrative and operational tasks that contribute to a well-organized and efficient office environment. Requirements • Previous experience in office management, workplace services, hospitality, facilities, property management, procurement, or a related support function is preferred.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a detail-oriented, service-focused approach when interacting with employees, visitors, and vendors.

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; additional college or associate-level education is a plus.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, along with confidence learning new systems and tools.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, stay organized, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced office setting.

  • Close attention to detail and a proactive mindset for identifying issues and following through on solutions.

  • Familiarity with conference room technology, audiovisual equipment, or general workplace tech support is preferred.

  • Ability to work independently, collaborate with a team, and provide occasional after-hours support when business needs require it. TalentMatch®
