Full job description
Description Tableau, part of Salesforce, is the world's leading visual analytics platform — named a Leader in the Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Analytics & BI Platforms for 14 consecutive years. Data is only as powerful as the decisions it drives, and at Tableau, you'll help the world's largest enterprises (4,500+ employees) turn data into action at scale. As an Enterprise Tableau Specialist, you'll partner closely with our Enterprise Account Executives, bringing deep platform expertise and strategic insight to navigate complex, multi-stakeholder deals and help customers see and understand their data in entirely new ways.
This is a high-impact specialist role for someone who thrives on solving complex business problems with data, influencing at the highest levels, and driving strategic deals forward alongside a core enterprise sales team.
Location: Office-based, office-flexible, or remote, depending on team.
What You'll Do
- Partner with Enterprise AEs as the Tableau subject-matter expert — helping qualify large, complex opportunities, shape deal strategy, and accelerate pipeline across the full Tableau platform.
- Build trusted, executive-level relationships across large, matrixed organizations, positioning yourself as the go-to advisor for how Tableau's analytics platform drives enterprise-scale business outcomes.
- Co-develop and execute strategic account plans with your aligned AE(s), channel partners, and the broader Salesforce ecosystem, navigating long sales cycles and multiple decision-makers.
- Collaborate with product support, customer success, and sales engineering to design solutions that scale across large, complex environments.
- Drive platform expansion within existing enterprise accounts, identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities across business units and geographies.
What You Bring
- 8-10+ years of full-cycle sales experience, including significant time in an enterprise field/quota-carrying or specialist sales role.
- A track record of navigating complex, multi-stakeholder deal cycles and driving large-scale platform adoption.
- Strong executive presence — you're comfortable presenting to and influencing C-level and senior leadership at Fortune 500-scale organizations.
- A collaborative mindset — you're energized by working as part of a broader account team (AEs, SEs, and CS) to win and grow strategic accounts.
Nice to Have
- Experience selling business intelligence, analytics, or data platforms to enterprise/global accounts.
- Experience building and executing account/territory plans across complex, matrixed organizations with multiple business units.
Why Tableau / Salesforce
- Sell a market-leading, AI-powered analytics platform trusted by the world's most data-driven enterprises.
- Join a collaborative, well-resourced go-to-market org with strong AE, partner, and product support.
- Grow your career inside Salesforce's broader ecosystem, with clear paths for advancement into strategic and leadership roles.
