Description
We are partnering with a growing organization seeking a hands-on Controller to lead day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting. This individual will oversee the close process, manage a small accounting team, improve processes and controls, and serve as a key business partner to executive leadership.
Responsibilities include managing month-end close, preparing financial statements, overseeing reconciliations and general ledger activity, maintaining internal controls, supporting audits, and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency across the accounting function.
Qualified candidates will have progressive accounting leadership experience, a strong understanding of GAAP, experience managing staff, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience leading accounting operations for a multi-entity organization is preferred.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Progressive accounting experience with recent leadership responsibility in accounting, financial reporting, and month-end close.

Experience managing accounting operations within a growing or complex organization.

Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial statement preparation, account reconciliations, and internal controls.

Demonstrated success leading and developing accounting teams.

Experience improving processes, implementing efficiencies, and supporting organizational growth.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

CPA certification preferred.

Public accounting experience a plus.
