Primary Responsibilities

As a Traveling Low Voltage Access Control Technician, you'll use our technology to create, assign, and monitor work orders, track equipment maintenance, order replacement parts, and diagnose system issues. With real-time information at your fingertips, you can work smarter, not harder.

  • Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled inspections to ensure access control systems remain fully operational.

  • Diagnose electrical, mechanical, wiring, networking, and hardware issues using appropriate testing equipment and manufacturer documentation.

  • Run, terminate, label, and troubleshoot low-voltage cabling associated with access control installations.

  • Install and replace controllers, readers, power supplies, locks, request-to-exit devices, sensors, and communication hardware.

  • Configure and test field devices to ensure proper communication with access control software.

  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams, installation drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation.

  • Use laptops, tablets, and mobile devices to configure equipment, complete work orders, and document completed work.

  • Maintain accurate electronic documentation of work performed in a complete and timely manner.

  • Maintain knowledge of OSHA requirements and jobsite safety practices.

  • Participate in year-round company-provided OEM and manufacturer training.
