Responsibilities
Copy & Creative Leadership
-
Serve as the North American steward of brand voice and tone, ensuring consistency while evolving language to remain relevant to regional consumers.
-
Partner closely with the Creative Director to concept and develop integrated campaigns, launches, and brand storytelling across channels.
-
Lead copy development across paid media, social, ecommerce, CRM, retail, and consumer experiences.
-
Establish a high standard for writing, storytelling, grammar, proofreading, messaging hierarchy, and attention to detail across every execution.

Translate Global messaging and campaigns into compelling, regionally relevant language while maintaining brand integrity.

Write and edit directly when needed, from high-profile campaigns and presentations to daily business needs.

Guide, review, proofread, and elevate the work of the copy team through clear feedback, mentorship, and thoughtful editing.

Build compelling presentations and confidently articulate concepts, messaging strategies, and creative rationale to senior leaders and cross-functional partners.
Brand Stewardship & Collaboration

Own the proofreading standard across the team, ensuring final copy is accurate, grammatically flawless, consistent, and ready for consumer-facing execution.

Partner closely with Marketing, Online, Consumer Engagement, Global Creative, Product Marketing, Legal, Creative Operations, and other partners to ensure copy is accurate, aligned, and effective.

Navigate multiple stakeholders and sources of information, connecting the dots to establish clear, consistent messaging across consumer touchpoints.

Proactively seek out product information, claims, consumer insights, Global guidance, previous language, and other inputs needed to develop accurate and compelling copy.

Partner with Legal and appropriate Global teams to navigate claims, approvals, and regulatory requirements without losing the strength or clarity of the idea.

Identify inconsistencies across messaging, claims, terminology, naming conventions, and channels, proactively establishing solutions and standards that strengthen the brand voice.

Serve as a trusted final set of eyes on priority work, catching errors and inconsistencies others may miss.
Planning & Ways of Working

Oversee copy across both larger campaign initiatives and high-volume daily asset delivery, balancing quality with speed, efficiency, and business needs.

Partner with Creative Operations and creative leadership to prioritize work, manage deadlines, and ensure copy is reviewed and proofread at the appropriate stages.

Anticipate questions and gaps before they become issues and help teams navigate complex or conflicting inputs.

Foster a collaborative, positive environment where writers and creative partners feel supported, challenged, and inspired to do their best work.

Stay connected to beauty, fashion, culture, language, social media, consumer behavior, and emerging storytelling trends.

Champion fresh approaches to brand storytelling across established and emerging platforms.

Qualifications

Exceptional writer, editor, and expert proofreader with a portfolio demonstrating beautiful, distinctive writing, conceptual thinking, and brand storytelling across channels.

8–10+ years of copywriting and creative experience within beauty, fashion, luxury, agency, or another brand-driven industry.
-
Deep understanding of brand voice and proven ability to establish, protect, and evolve tone across a wide range of consumer touchpoints.
-
Mastery of grammar, spelling, punctuation, syntax, usage, and proofreading, with meticulous attention to accuracy and consistency.
-
Exceptional editing skills with the ability to catch errors, discrepancies, and inconsistencies across complex, high-volume work.
-
Strong conceptual thinker who can translate business objectives, consumer insights, and product benefits into compelling ideas and language.
-
Experience across integrated campaigns as well as high-volume ecommerce, CRM, social, digital, and retail content.
-
Excellent presentation and communication skills with the ability to confidently articulate and sell ideas.
-
Experience partnering with Legal, Global teams, Marketing, Product Marketing, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
-
Proven ability to mentor and develop writers while remaining willing to jump into the work directly.
-
Highly resourceful and intellectually curious, with a willingness to dig for information, verify details, and ask the right questions.

Smart, articulate, collaborative, low ego, and easy to work with.

Thrives in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders, shifting priorities, and high standards.
