Electrical Estimator / Senior Estimator Cleveland, OH | Up to $150K DOE
Position Overview A well-established electrical contractor is seeking an Estimator or Senior Estimator to join its Cleveland team. The role focuses on commercial and industrial estimating across healthcare, higher education, banking, and industrial projects.
This is a primarily office-based position with no regular or extensive travel. Occasional local job-site visits or pre-bid walkthroughs may be required when needed.

- Opportunity to become more involved in design-build estimating
- Typically manages approximately five bids/projects simultaneously
Responsibilities
- Review blueprints, specifications, and bid documents
- Perform detailed quantity takeoffs
- Develop labor and material pricing
- Prepare complete and accurate cost estimates
- Manage the low-voltage estimating process from bid invitation through final submission
- Prepare customer proposals and bid packages
- Use Accubid and online bid portals
- Solicit, review, and negotiate supplier and subcontractor pricing
- Evaluate project risks, labor costs, material pricing, margins, and market trends
- Compare supplier and competitor bids
- Support and explain final estimate pricing
- Work with branch leadership, preconstruction, engineers, subcontractors, and customers
- Meet deadlines while managing multiple bids
- Attend occasional local job-site visits or pre-bid walkthroughs when necessary
Requirements
- 5–10+ years of commercial electrical estimating experience
- Strong construction estimating fundamentals
- Ability to read and dissect construction drawings
- Commercial construction estimating experience
- Low-voltage estimating experience preferred
- Accubid experience preferred
- Online bid portal experience
- Strong quantity takeoff and pricing skills
- Ability to evaluate and negotiate vendor/subcontractor pricing
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Highly detail-oriented
- Ability to confidently explain and support estimate pricing
