RCIS Crop Claims Operations Analyst

Zurich is currently looking for a RCIS Crop Claims Operations Analyst to join our Rural Community Insurance Services (RCIS) team. RCIS is one of the leading crop insurance providers in the U.S. RCIS offers insurance protection in all 50 states through a national network of about 3,600 licensed agents. RCIS offers a wide range of private product coverages, including a diverse selection of named-peril options, supplemental and stand-alone insurance products as well as federal crop insurance plans through the United States Department of Agriculture’s Risk Management Agency. Together with RCIS agents, we protect America’s farmers and ranchers.

The RCIS Crop Claims Operations Analyst provides technical analysis and administrative support requiring broad experience, skill and procedural knowledge. Responsible for management of databases (data entry, maintenance and reporting) and execution/distribution of standard metric or required Documented Evidence of Review reports. Participates in re-engineering of claims technical, administrative and/or operational workflows as appropriate. Partners with Senior Operations Analyst and/or Operations Consultant as part of crop teams. Provides analysis related to the reporting and databases managed by the Crop Operations Analyst team.

This is a remote position for a strong candidate with a background in insurance, customer service, multi-tasking, and experience in crop claims and/or claims operations in the United States.

As an RCIS Crop Claims Operations Analyst, one is responsible for a variety of tasks:

  • Applies knowledge of complex operational best practices and procedures to daily activities.

  • Responsible for managing and supporting key support functions for office, as outlined in Operations Best Practices.

  • Ensure compliance with operational reporting requirements through use of appropriate monitoring controls.

  • Provides expertise on claim assignment process and acts as liaison with Call Center on behalf of department.

  • Responds to customer inquiries quickly, accurately and in a professional manner. Offers escalated problem resolution for internal partners and escalates inquiries appropriately.

  • Identifies and resolves problems by referring to procedural documentation and reference materials.

  • Offers and implements process improvement ideas to improve efficiency of functional area.

  • This role supports a wide variety of platforms and functions including Coupa, Drone operations, Hi Marley, DocuSign, SharePoint, distribution lists, forms, reporting, equipment ordering, and ServiceNow requests.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 3 or more years of experience in the Clerical or Office area

OR

  • Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 1 or more years of experience in the Clerical or Office area

  • Ability to prioritize effectively

Your pay at Zurich is based on your role, location, skills, and experience. We follow local laws to ensure fair compensation. You may also be eligible for bonuses and merit increases. The pay range shown is a national average and may vary by location. The proposed salary range for this position is $49,500.00 - $81,000.00, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 10%.
