Job Description

Our Kitchen Aide will have be responsible for supporting the weekend operations on Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 8:00 pm at our Main Housing facility kitchen in Morris Township, NJ, ensuring safe, efficient and compliant operations. Additionally, this opportunity fulfills the key function of interacting with the many volunteers who support the organization by planning, preparing and serving meals to our residential clients. This part-time, on-site, hourly role reports to the Volunteer Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

Greet and support volunteer groups as they plan, prepare and serve meals, including emergency light food prep coverage for volunteer absences or other emergent situations.

Complete safe and efficient processes related to cleaning and storing all food service items and equipment including cleaning of the kitchen facility.

Interact with shelter guests, calling them to meals at appropriate times and oversee interactions with volunteers during mealtimes

Complete/maintain current ServSafe training certifications.
