Summary

About the Position: This position is for a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist with the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM), AMCOM Logistics Center, AMCOM Field Maintenance Directorate. Serves as Division Chief of assigned area accomplishing work through a group of professional, technical, and support personnel. The pay band NH-04 includes the General Schedule grade equivalent to GS-14.

Duties

  • Develop plans and strategies to provide leadership to subordinate organizations and employees on logistical matters related to sustainment of weapon systems.
  • Defines problems and develops recommendations for resolution of issues. Ensures coordination and/or participation in planning of all concerned functional elements.
  • Directs, develops, and/or implements logistics policies, processes, initiatives, and/or programs for major, highly complex weapon systems sustainment.
  • Brief and interact with senior military and civilian leaders to explain, advocate, and express facts and ideas on logistics issues.
  • Ensures compliance with policies and recommends policy changes to fit requirements

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized experience: one year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-03/ GS-13 grade level or equivalent pay band in the Federal service that includes: 1) Directing, developing and or implementing logistics policies, processes, and/or programs. 2) Performing supervisor functions such as evaluating the performance of subordinates, recommending disciplinary actions, and or developing performance plans. And 3) Ensuring compliance with regulations, polices and guidance and recommend policy changes as needed. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-03). THIS IS A CAP POSITION: ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS Highest category of certification in the applicable functional area, except for Program Management, which requires Practitioner or higher category certification. Incumbent must execute 3-year tenure agreement, except as tailored by the CAE. GS-14 or equivalent/O-5 level or above 4 years of acquisition experience
