Job Description

A client of Insight Global in the healthcare technology sector is seeking a Program Director to scale and run a GRANT PROGRAM recently awarded by the State of Tennessee. The client has been awarded funding for a five-year Rural Health Transformation Program initiative, bringing FDA-cleared cardiac screening and virtual cardiology access to rural Tennessee communities. This is the most important hire we will make for the program: a Program Director who owns it end to end, accountable for delivery, compliance, and results across every phase, site, and county. We need someone who lives in the details, not just the vision. Key responsibilities:

  • Recruit and onboard participating practices across launch counties.
  • Build and execute county-level go-to-market and implementation strategies.
  • Manage county coordinators and oversee overall program performance.
  • Serve as the primary interface with the State of Tennessee regarding compliance, reporting, and grant administration.
  • Oversee program operations, budgeting, documentation, reporting, and expansion decisions.
  • Maintain stakeholder alignment across the company, providers, community partners, and government entities.

Skills and Requirements

  • 6-8+ years leading complex healthcare, population health, rural health, patient access, or community health programs.
  • Experience with state or federal grant-funded initiatives and compliance reporting.
  • Strong relationship builder with credibility among providers and healthcare organizations.
  • Comfortable balancing strategy with execution.
  • PMP or strong project management experience is a plus, but healthcare operations, provider engagement, and program ownership are more critical.
  • Willing to spend up to ~50% of time in the field, particularly within a 2-3 hour radius of Nashville.
