Full job description

About Perry Weather Perry Weather is the weather safety standard for organizations that operate outdoors. We combine on-site weather hardware with a software platform that automates alerts, siren activations, and safety decisions for more than 3,000 organizations — from the PGA of America, the NFL, and MLB to Turner Construction, thousands of school districts, cities, and golf courses. We've grown 80%+ annually for five consecutive years, and are continuing to grow.

We're headquartered in Dallas at The Centrum, in the Oak Lawn neighborhood, where our teams work together every day to help organizations make faster and safer decisions when weather puts people, assets, and operations at risk.

About the Role We've grown 80%+ for five straight years by becoming the weather safety standard in Education, Golf, and Local Government. Today, over half of our growth comes from newer markets like, manufacturing, and energy, without slowing down in the markets we already lead.

We're looking for a VP of Sales to build the org that turns this momentum into a category-defining business.

You've done this before. You've scaled a sales team through hypergrowth, opened net-new markets, and built the enterprise motion that takes ACV from five figures to six. You know how to hire front-line managers who hire great reps, and you know when to coach and when to clear obstacles. You're a builder, an operator, and a closer when the moment calls for it.

This role reports to the CRO and sits at the center of our growth strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Build the team, structure, and systems we need for our next phase of growth, including hiring and developing Sales Managers who can build and lead high-performing teams.

  • Build out our enterprise sales motion, including how we approach large accounts, structure deals, and win six and seven-figure opportunities.

  • Partner with the CRO and Product to identify new markets where Perry Weather can win and figure out how we successfully take them to market.

  • Own forecasting and pipeline management across the sales organization, giving leadership clear visibility into the business while helping managers and reps understand where they need to improve.

  • Continue improving how we sell as the team grows, adding the right process and structure without making the organization overly rigid or taking away the ownership our reps have today.

  • Stay close to our biggest opportunities and be willing to get directly involved when it helps us win.

  • Work closely with Marketing, Customer Success, Product, and RevOps to make sure we’re building a cohesive revenue engine across the company.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of sales leadership experience, including managing managers at a Seed through Series C company.

  • A track record of scaling a sales org through a major growth stage, ideally $20M to $50M+ ARR.

  • Direct experience building an enterprise motion. You've taken ACV up and closed with sophisticated, multi-stakeholder buyers.

  • Experience opening net-new markets. You built the GTM strategy, hired the team, and put points on the board where the company hadn't sold before.

  • Strong operational instincts. You run a tight forecast and use data to make decisions, but you've also got a gut that sees around corners because you've been there.

  • Creativity to get deals done. Business cases, deal structures, executive alignment. You've used all of it.

Why Perry Weather

  • 80%+ annual growth for five consecutive years, with a clear category vision and huge greenfield ahead

  • 70%+ quota attainment

  • High inbound volume: 60%+ of net-new ARR is marketing sourced

  • Top 5% of sales orgs on RepVue

  • 4.8 stars on Glassdoor

  • Strong product-market fit

  • High visibility and real influence on the future of Perry Weather

Benefits

  • You'll want to come into the office. Our Oak Lawn office isn't just a place to sit — it's where ideas move fast and culture stays strong. The whole team is here Monday through Friday, which means real collaboration, no chasing people down over Slack, and a genuinely fun place to spend your work days.

  • Your wellbeing is covered. Competitive health insurance, 401(k) with employer matching, and a full suite of voluntary benefits, because you shouldn't have to think twice about the basics.

  • Good people, good times. Monthly All-Hands, Office Olympics, happy hours, and more. We take the work seriously and the culture seriously too.

  • You're getting in early, and that matters. We're growing fast, but the biggest opportunities are still ahead. The people joining now will help shape what Perry Weather becomes.
