Full job description

Job Description A Safety Critical Software Engineer is a specialized software developer responsible for designing, developing, and testing software applications for systems where a failure could lead to significant harm, such as loss of life, severe injury, or environmental damage, requiring strict adherence to safety standards and rigorous development processes to ensure the reliability and robustness of the software.

Safety Critical Software Engineer The Safety Critical Software Lead will oversee and spearhead development of safety-critical software applications.

Qualifications

U.S. CITIZENS OR PERMANENT RESIDENTS ONLY

Minimum Required Education & Experience:

  • A minimum of 5+ years of work experience as a Systems Safety Software engineer or related role.

  • Experience in safety-critical software development (as a developer), preferably using a modeling tool like Simulink or SCADE and converting to C/C++

  • Experience developing Level of Rigor artifacts needed for compliance to safety standards

  • Experience (specific examples) of coordinating with systems teams, test teams, and dev teams to generate safety features

Preferred experience:

  • Experience with 26262

  • MIL STD 882E

  • ASIL-D
