What this role is all about
The Housekeeping Manager (HM) works within the department to supervise the housekeeping and laundry operation to ensure product quality standards are met and that optimum service is provided to hotel guests according to hotel and company business objectives. In addition to keeping the entire hotel clean, the Housekeeping Manager is responsible for maintaining a neat and organized housekeeping and laundry area and is responsible for the security of the hotel linen and supplies inventory. The Housekeeping Manager’s focus on guest and associate satisfaction, expense control and product quality and will lead to their contribution to the overall goals of the hotel.

As the Housekeeping Manager, you’ll help lead housekeeping and laundry operations while ensuring guest rooms and public spaces consistently meet the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and hospitality.
This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment and enjoys balancing team leadership, operational coordination, service standards, and guest satisfaction. You’ll support housekeeping operations across guest rooms, public areas, laundry, and back-of-house spaces while partnering closely with Front Office, Engineering, and hotel leadership teams to keep the hotel guest-ready at all times.

What you’ll be doing

Support daily housekeeping and laundry operations across guest rooms, suites, public spaces, back-of-house areas, and hotel facilities.

Supervise, train, coach, schedule, and support housekeeping and laundry team members to deliver exceptional cleanliness and guest experience standards.

Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and operational spaces to ensure cleanliness, presentation, and brand standards are consistently maintained.

Monitor guest satisfaction, room readiness, service recovery situations, and housekeeping operational performance throughout shifts.

Partner closely with Front Office, Engineering, Operations, and hotel leadership teams to support smooth hotel operations and guest readiness.

Support housekeeping productivity, labor management, inventory organization, linen control, and departmental operational efficiency.

Ensure compliance with hotel operational procedures, sanitation standards, OSHA regulations, chemical handling guidelines, and safety policies.

Assist with onboarding, employee engagement, training, scheduling, and team development initiatives within the department.

Monitor housekeeping supplies, operational equipment, storage organization, and cleanliness across workspaces and service areas.

Support VIP arrivals, group business, deep cleaning projects, room inspections, and special operational initiatives as needed.

What great looks like
-
Previous housekeeping, hotel operations, hospitality, laundry, or facilities experience preferred.

Previous leadership or supervisory experience within housekeeping or hospitality operations preferred.

Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations, room inspection standards, laundry operations, inventory management, and hospitality service standards.

Excellent communication, organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness, operational consistency, and guest satisfaction.

Knowledge of sanitation procedures, OSHA regulations, chemical handling standards, and hotel safety policies preferred.

Experience using housekeeping management systems, hotel operational systems, or reporting tools preferred.

Flexible availability including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call support as needed.

A passion for hospitality, leadership, teamwork, operational excellence, and creating exceptional guest experiences.
Anticipated Pay Range & Additional Job Information $65k - $70k Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors including but not limited to job related knowledge, skills and job specific experience/overall experience.
