Job Overview

We're seeking a hands-on Test Technician to support the testing, troubleshooting, and validation of server systems and computer hardware. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in hardware testing, computer repair, electronics, IT support, or manufacturing environments who enjoy diagnosing issues and working with technology.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing and validation of servers, computer hardware, and electronic systems

• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues using established test procedures

• Configure systems, install software, and execute diagnostic tests

• Follow detailed work instructions and test process documentation

• Identify failures, perform basic rework, and retest systems as needed

• Document test results and maintain accurate production records

• Support packaging, labeling, and handling of equipment when required

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience in testing, troubleshooting, manufacturing, IT, electronics, or related environments

• Basic computer hardware knowledge

• Experience using diagnostic tools or test procedures

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Ability to follow technical instructions and documentation

• Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods

Preferred Experience

• Server or computer hardware testing

• Linux or command-line experience

• Hardware repair and troubleshooting

• Electronics testing and validation

• Data center or manufacturing test environment experience

• Networking fundamentals

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fremont, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.50 - $28.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
