New Hampshire | 13-Week Travel Contract | Monday-Friday Schedule

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking an experienced Ophthalmic Technician for a travel assignment with the largest hospital system in New Hampshire. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a specialized ophthalmology clinic while enjoying a consistent weekday schedule and competitive weekly compensation.

Position Details

  • Start Date: September 28, 2026

  • Contract Length: 13 Weeks

  • Schedule: Monday-Friday

  • Hours: 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM

  • 40 Hours Per Week

  • Occasional Saturday Coverage

  • Setting: Ophthalmology Clinic

  • Charting System: EPIC

  • Client Interview Required

Compensation

  • Travel Pay Package: Up to $2,452/Week

Responsibilities

  • Assist ophthalmologists with patient examinations and diagnostic testing

  • Perform vision testing and ophthalmic screening procedures

  • Prepare patients for examinations and treatments

  • Operate ophthalmic diagnostic equipment

  • Document patient information accurately in EPIC

  • Educate patients regarding testing procedures and eye health services

Qualifications

  • Ophthalmic Technician Training Program Completion Required

  • Ophthalmic Technician Certification Required, if applicable

  • Minimum 1 Year of Ophthalmic Technician Experience Preferred

  • BLS Certification Required

  • Level I or Level II Trauma Center Experience Within the Last 2 Years Required

  • Strong patient care and communication skills

The Ophthalmic Technician assists the Ophthalmologist and other technical support personnel to perform diagnostic tests necessary for the evaluation of patient eye health, procedures and vision testing/correction.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Successful completion of Ophthalmic Technician training program

  • Certification as an Ophthalmic Technician by State/Contract requirements

  • One (1) year of experience as an Ophthalmic Technician preferred

  • Current CPR if applicable

  • TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

  • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

  • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
