Full job description

*This is a benefited, full time position (64 hours per pay period) generally working weekdays on an 8-hr shift schedule with start times ranging from 7-8am. Call is required after hours (4-8pm, about twice a week) and weekends (8am-8pm, about once or twice a month). Hours will vary as needed. Located at Scripps Green Hospital in La Jolla. *

*What you'll do: *

  • Functions as liaison between state and federal agencies for licensure, certification, and QA requirements for the entire radiology department.

  • Responsible for providing age specific care, education and imaging procedures in conjunction with other members of the defined health care team.

  • Adheres to safety standards and regulatory requirements; participates in QC and PI activities; maintains own clinical competency and mandatory requirements.

  • Maintains all records as needed to verify that regulations are being maintained at all times.

  • Responsible for charge reconciliation audits for procedures performed in Nuclear Medicine department.

*This position is eligible for up to $10k in New Hire Retention Incentives and relocation up to $6k if moving from 100 miles away. * The following are not eligible for hiring incentives:

  • Internal candidates
  • Rehires that left Scripps less than 3 years ago

In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive the following criteria must be met :

  • Must remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offer letter)
  • Must remain in original department/specialty
  • Must remain in original Job Title Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your offer letter.

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:

  • Completion of a formal training/educational program in an approved school of Radiology Technology
  • Imaging experience in a hospital or clinic setting
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

Required Certification/Registration:

  • CNMT
  • RT-VEN
  • BLS through the American Heart Association

Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:

  • 2 years' experience
  • Knowledge of patient focused care delivery
