Summary

You will serve as a INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (SYSADMIN) in the Command, Control, Communications and Intelligence Directorate of PAC FLEET SUB FORCE OPS COMPONENT.

Duties

  • You will serve as a Communications Security (COMSEC)/Key Management Infrastructure (KMI) Operating Account Manager (KOAM).
  • You will support functional areas of Pacific Fleet Submarine Communications Management and the development of guidance and issuance of COMSEC material/equipment.
  • You will serve as System Administration for KMI Management Clients (MGCs) and Information Management Officer (IMO), Client Platform Administrator (CPA), and Token Security Officer (TSO) for all COMSUBPAC Intermediary Application (iAPP) accounts.
  • You will consult with and advise the Director, C4I in the development, formulation, installation, and management of Force and Staff policy in all matters regarding iAPP in support of submarine force wide communications.
  • You will make decisions or recommendations that significantly influence important IT policies, processes, and/or programs.
  • You will maintain local custody, accountability, inventory, transfer and destruction of all levels of COMSEC material and cryptographic equipment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: interpreting communications security instructions and regulations in order to effectively manage secure communications, serving as a system admin, and providing customer support. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
