Real Estate Fund Accountant (Contract-to-Hire)

Location: Minneapolis, MN (North Loop)

Schedule: Hybrid, 4 days onsite / 1 day remote

Compensation: Up to $110,000 annually (DOE)

Join a growing real estate investment and development firm seeking a Fund Accountant to support fund-level accounting, financial reporting, consolidations, and multi-entity operations. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with strong long-term growth potential.

Responsibilities

Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports

Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close

Perform consolidations and intercompany accounting

Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis

Review third-party property accounting records

Support audit and tax processes

Maintain compliance with accounting policies and reporting requirements

Partner with Investor Relations and internal stakeholders

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

3+ years of accounting experience

Fund accounting experience required

Experience with consolidations, budgeting, and intercompany transactions

Multi-entity accounting experience

Strong communication and relationship-building skills

Ability to thrive in a growing, evolving environment

Yardi experience highly preferred

Real estate, private equity, REIT, or portfolio accounting experience preferred
