Description and Requirements

The Team You Will Join

Joining Global Marketing & Communications (GMC) means contributing to the company's customer-centric growth engine by helping customers live more confident futures. Whether driving external or internal marketing and communications, you'll be fostering engagement and alignment with MetLife's purpose and values that enable positive customer experiences. Become part of a dynamic team that harnesses an agile and data-driven approach across paid, owned, and earned channels to deliver meaningful and measurable outcomes for MetLife's key stakeholders: associates, communities, customers, and shareholders.

The Opportunity

The Manager, Marketing Review Process Lead is responsible for defining, implementing, and continuously improving the end-to-end Marketing Review Process for marketing materials across U.S. and MIM, supporting U.S. Communications and other markets as needed. The role brings together Marketing, Brand, technology teams, vendors, and audit stakeholders to clarify roles, standardize ways of working, strengthen controls, and improve the experience from content development through approval, record retention, and audit readiness. Legal and Compliance are key stakeholders in the process, and RedOak and related workflow platforms serve as enablers that support greater consistency, transparency, speed to market, and organizational risk reduction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, implementation, governance, and continuous improvement of the end-to-end Marketing Review Process for marketing materials across Global Marketing and Communications.

  • Define clear roles, decision points, service expectations, controls, escalation paths, documentation standards, records retention requirements, and measures of process effectiveness.

  • Coordinate with Marketing, Legal, Compliance, technology teams, vendors, and audit stakeholders to align business needs, regulatory requirements, and practical ways of working.

  • Oversee the workflow tools that enable the Marketing Review Process and support the development, review, approval, and documentation of marketing materials across channels, ensuring workflows reflect how marketing teams plan and produce content, provide clear visibility into review status and requirements, and are supported through effective access management, reporting, training, user support, and issue resolution.

  • Develop insights and improvement plans that increase transparency, reduce rework, strengthen audit readiness, improve the user experience, and support speed to market.

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in marketing operations, process design and improvement, compliance review operations, program management, change management, or a related discipline.

  • Experience defining and implementing cross-functional, end-to-end processes in a regulated environment, including approval controls, audit documentation, records retention, governance, and measurable process improvement.

  • Strong stakeholder management, written communication, facilitation, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to translate business and regulatory needs into clear processes, roles, workflows, reporting, and adoption plans.

  • Demonstrated AI fluency, including the ability to use approved AI tools responsibly to support research, documentation, analysis, and operational efficiency while following company data, privacy, legal, and compliance requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with RedOak, Adobe Workfront, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft 365, or comparable workflow and marketing operations platforms.

  • Experience with process mapping, workflow design, change adoption, reporting, regulated content review, disclosure management, or audit evidence preparation.

  • Familiarity with regulated marketing content requirements, vendor oversight, third-party risk management, incident escalation, or platform performance monitoring.

  • Prior people management experience, including performance management, coaching, and employee development.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Information Systems, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Location Expectation: This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in office.

The expected salary range for this position is $93,200 - $115,000. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
