Responsibilities

Ability to function in a demanding environment by navigating multiple projects simultaneously, and effectively supporting a busy Medical Staff Office. Responsible for assigned Medical Staff Departments as assigned by Director/Manager. Facilitates all aspects of credentialing, including applications, reappointments, proctoring and competencies. Interfaces with physicians and hospital management staff in a positive and professional manner

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

  1. Associate degree preferred or equivalent education/experience.2. Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) and/or CPMSM preferred.3. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Medical Staff Services Department and/or acute care hospital experience required.4. Must have strong computer, communication, and writing skills. 5. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.6. Must exhibit a positive attitude and willingness to learn.7. Knowledge of medical terminology and medical staff services and/or acute care hospital experience, preferred.

La Palma Intercommunity Hospital offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package that provides employees the flexibility to tailor benefits according to their individual needs. Our Total Rewards package includes, but is not limited to, paid time off, a 401K retirement plan, medical, dental, and vision coverage, tuition reimbursement, and many more voluntary benefit options. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $28.00 to $42.06. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
