Job Description

A global casino gaming manufacturer is seeking an EHS Manager to serve as the Environmental, Health & Safety subject matter expert for the business. This individual will be responsible for leading all EHS activities while helping rebuild and modernize the function following organizational changes.

This role requires a balance of compliance expertise and business partnership. The ideal candidate will help create a leader-led safety culture, develop scalable programs, and identify efficient solutions that support both operational goals and regulatory requirements. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact by shaping the future of EHS for the organization's U.S. manufacturing operations and supporting long-term global growth.

  • Serve as the primary EHS resource for manufacturing and operational leaders.
  • Lead safety initiatives, risk assessments, workplace inspections, and incident investigations.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, and workplace safety regulations.
  • Partner with business leaders to integrate safety into daily operations and decision-making.
  • Drive behavior-based safety programs and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Assess current EHS processes and identify opportunities for improvement, automation, and scalability.
  • Evaluate resource needs and determine when third-party providers or alternative solutions may be more effective than adding headcount.
  • Analyze trends, identify risks, and develop proactive solutions to improve safety performance.
  • Support the ongoing development of a scalable EHS program that can expand globally over time.

Skills and Requirements

  • 5+ years of Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) experience in manufacturing, industrial, mining, logistics, or other high-risk environments.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, EHS compliance programs, incident investigations, and risk assessments.
  • Experience leading safety initiatives and driving a proactive safety culture.
  • Ability to influence and partner with leaders across multiple functions.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work onsite in Reno, NV.
  • CSP, ASP, CIH, CHMM, or similar EHS certification.
  • Experience in manufacturing, mining, heavy industrial, or other highly regulated environments.
  • Experience building or rebuilding an EHS function or program.
  • Background in behavior-based safety and safety culture transformation.
  • Experience supporting multi-site or global operations.
  • Experience leveraging automation, shared services, or third-party providers to improve efficiency.
  • Environmental compliance experience in addition to workplace safety.

Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a change agent and business partner, not just a compliance-focused safety professional. They will be comfortable challenging the status quo, building relationships with operational leaders, and creating practical, scalable solutions that strengthen both safety culture and business performance.
