Job Description

The Worker's Compensation Coordinator is responsible for providing clerical support for all Worker's Compensation Administrators, Supervisors, Managers, and Director in managing risk issues for the Corporation.

Responsibilities

  • Electronically process daily mail to ensure it is forwarded to the appropriate administrator or supervisor.

  • Contact and provide customer service for injured workers within 24 hours of an injury during the normal work week.

  • Electronically file various state workers' compensation forms.

  • Issue drafts and mileage verifications to support the investigation and proper handling of claims.

  • Provide clerical support to the Manager and Director of the department.

  • Manage telephone calls from claimants, providers, and company personnel.

  • Collaborate with Resolution Administrators, Supervisors, Managers, and Director to streamline department processes.

  • Process recovery drafts.

  • Index claims documents as assigned.

  • Process Alternate Work Program paperwork.

  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, preferred

Experience:

  • No prior experience necessary

Computer Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Other Details

Work Hours:

  • Generally, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with occasional irregular hours depending on workload.

Travel Requirements:

  • Minimal (0%-25%)

Compensation:

  • This is an hourly position paid biweekly.
