Tenure-Track: Assistant Professor (Aerodynamics and Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) Aerospace Engineering

Description
The Department of Aerospace Engineering, College of Engineering at Texas A&M University invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position with a 9-month academic appointment, with the possibility of an additional summer appointment contingent upon the needs and availability of funds, beginning the Fall of 2027. Applicants will be considered at the level of Assistant Professor.
Candidates will be considered in two broad areas:

Urban air mobility and UAVs. While applications from all related areas will be considered, the department is particularly interested in candidates with a strong record in experimental work, aerodynamics, and propulsion.

Reacting flows. While applications from all related areas will be considered, the department is particularly interested in candidates with a strong record on experimental work.
Successful applicants will be required to teach; advise and mentor graduate students; develop an independent externally funded research program at the forefront of aerospace engineering and sciences; participate in all aspects of the department’s activities; and serve the profession. Applicants should consult the department’s website to review our academic and research programs (https://engineering.tamu.edu/aerospace) in particular our experimental low-speed wind tunnels.
Qualifications
Applicants must have an earned doctorate in aerospace engineering or a closely related science discipline.
