Job Description

A client of Insight Global is seeking a pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to oversee pharmacy operations, ensure regulatory compliance, lead pharmacy staff, and drive exceptional patient outcomes within a specialty pharmacy environment focused on behavioral health populations. This individual will play a critical leadership role in managing day-to-day pharmacy operations, clinical programs, quality initiatives, and business performance

Day-to-Day Responsibilities Leadership & Operations

  • Lead and supervise pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and support staff.

  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and organizational pharmacy regulations.

  • Manage hiring, onboarding, training, and performance of pharmacy personnel.

  • Oversee pharmacy workflow, inventory management, and operational efficiency.

  • Support budgeting, labor planning, and resource allocation initiatives.

  • Implement company-wide initiatives and operational best practices. Clinical Services

  • Implement and oversee clinical pharmacy programs and services.

  • Conduct medication reviews and provide therapeutic recommendations.

  • Perform patient outreach to improve medication adherence and clinical outcomes.

  • Collaborate with providers and care teams to optimize patient care. Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure safe and effective medication dispensing practices.

  • Perform quality assurance reviews of prescriptions and patient profiles.

  • Monitor medication safety metrics, adverse events, and process improvements.

  • Lead pharmacy quality and patient safety initiatives. Staff Development

  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for pharmacy staff.

  • Support ongoing education and training initiatives.

  • Serve as a clinical resource to providers and internal teams. Collaboration

  • Partner with physicians, healthcare providers, and internal stakeholders.

  • Act as a liaison between pharmacy operations and organizational leadership. Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.

Skills and Requirements

  • Active Pharmacist license in good standing.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or related discipline; PharmD preferred.

  • Previous pharmacy leadership, management, or PIC experience.

  • Strong knowledge of pharmacotherapy, medication safety, and regulatory compliance.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Commitment to exceptional patient care and service delivery.

  • PharmD degree.

  • Board Certification (BCPS, BCACP, or similar).

  • Experience with quality improvement initiatives.

  • Specialty pharmacy, behavioral health, or complex medication management experience. Immunization and injection certification
