Full job description

The Resource Scheduler will coordinate and direct the assignment of field resources in Customer Service Operations, T&D Operations, and T&D Construction areas for fulfillment of customer service, service restoration and other T&D related work. The Resource Scheduler is responsible for developing and maintaining the integrated resource schedule for T&D and T&D-related work activities and for assisting the Work Planners with tracking, analyzing, and reporting of associated scheduling variances. The Resource Schedulers are key to ensuring reliable service to the Company¿s customer-owners; completing all work in a timely manner; anticipating customers¿ expectations; and making effective use of the Company¿s financial resources while maintaining a global view of all work.

The Impact You Will Have

  • Coordinate resource availability with Field Supervisors and Integrated Work Planners and update and maintain Mobility and source systems as appropriate to assure the timely completion of customer service and restoration orders.

  • Identify, analyze, and recommend changes to system parameters for resources, rules, and objectives to meet daily resource and workload constraints. Evaluate the current status of gaps and overloads of all work at each construction department, evaluate the appropriateness of focused work groups to perform specific types of tasks, and assign work.

  • Design and document dashboards and reports on a regular and recurring basis, or as needed. Perform analysis for a wide range of requests using data in different formats. Identify implications of data and use problem solving skills to prioritize issues. Author and communicate findings to various levels of the District.

  • Initiate prompt assignment and dispatch of emergency, service restoration and same-day service orders to most economical, skilled and available resources and assist Work Planner in resolving resource conflicts and in effectively and efficiently managing the integrated work plan and schedule.

  • Attend periodic scheduling and project related meetings to ensure effective planning and utilization of District resources.

  • Provide analysis of sensitive individual performance data to management

  • Backfill for Work Planner absences.

What You Will Bring

Required:

  • Bachelor Degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management or other Technical Discipline, or equivalent experience.

  • Three to five years¿ experience with customer service fulfillment, business analysis, work order, service restoration processes and/or scheduling processes.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and Power Point).

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.

  • Excellent listening skills and ability to ask probing questions, understand concerns, and overcome objections.

  • Exceptional analytical skills.

  • Ability to exercise independent decision making.

Desired:

  • Knowledge of work management systems such as ICIS, Asset Suite, OMS, Mobility, SLAMS, and Primavera.

  • Proficient with Tableau and/or Cognos Report Studio

  • Knowledge of OPPD field and construction practices

Min: $90,759

Max: $119,121
