Description We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Generalist to provide on-site HR support for a busy manufacturing operation in Mt Holly, North Carolina. This Long-term Contract position offers the opportunity to partner closely with plant leadership, support employees across a 24/7 environment, and contribute to hiring, employee relations, and daily HR operations. The role is well suited for someone who is comfortable working independently, handling multiple priorities, and delivering practical HR guidance in a production-focused setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary on-site HR contact for employees and leaders within a continuous manufacturing environment.

  • Lead recruitment efforts for hourly production and maintenance openings, from posting roles through candidate selection and hiring coordination.

  • Organize and deliver new employee onboarding, including structured orientation sessions that help new hires transition successfully into the workforce.

  • Collaborate with external or remote recruiting partners to support hiring activity for salaried positions when needed.

  • Address employee relations issues by conducting inquiries, responding to workplace concerns, interpreting policies, and advising managers on appropriate next steps.

  • Support employee engagement initiatives, recognition efforts, and programs that strengthen workplace culture and morale.

  • Participate in regular leadership meetings and work closely with site management to align HR support with operational needs.

  • Prepare, track, and evaluate HR reports, workforce data, and key performance indicators to support decision-making.

  • Maintain accurate employee documentation and ensure HR practices remain aligned with company policies and compliance expectations.

  • Provide day-to-day HR administrative support, including cross-training coordination and collaboration with regional HR teams and nearby facilities for continuity of support. Requirements • At least 5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources roles with broad generalist responsibilities.

  • Prior HR experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or production setting is required.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, and policy guidance.

  • Experience recruiting, hiring, and onboarding hourly employees in production or maintenance functions.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to create reports, interpret workforce data, and work effectively in Excel.

  • Hands-on experience using HRIS platforms and applicant tracking systems; familiarity with Dayforce and iCIMS is preferred.

  • Ability to manage competing priorities independently in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience supporting non-union employee populations preferred. TalentMatch®
