Duties Description Registered Nurse (RN) at the Student Health Services (SHS) works in the ambulatory clinical setting using detailed standard procedures as directed by the SHS Medical Director, the SHS Nurse Supervisor.Salary: $59,682 (includes statutory hiring rate for PEF sg-18 $69,964 and Increased Hiring Rate $9,612, prorated for 9 month work schedule)

Minimum Qualifications This title is part of the New York Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement Statewide Program (NY HELPS).For the duration of the NY HELPS Program, this title maybe filled via a non-competitive appointment, which means no examination is required but all candidates must meet the minimum qualifications of the title for which they apply. At a future date (within one year of permanent appointment), it is expected employees hired under NY HELPS will have their non-competitive employment status converted to competitive status, without having to compete in an examination. Employees will then be afforded with all of the same rights and privileges of competitive class employees of New York State. While serving permanently in a NY HELPS title, employees may take part in any promotion examination for which they are qualified.NON-COMPETITIVE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (NY HELPS):Possession of a license and current registration as a registered professional nurse in New York State.COMPETITIVE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (NON-NY HELPS):Candidates must have a reachable score on the University at Albany Registered Nurse 1 Exam List ORBe a current NYS employee and have a current permanent appointment with 1 year of service as a Registered Nurse 1, or in a title eligible to transfer to Registered Nurse 1 ORBe a former NYS employee eligible for reinstatement to the title of Registered Nurse 1
